The High Sierra

In 2024, I embarked on the 2,600-mile journey from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail, walking the length of California, Oregon, and Washington over four blissful months. There was a profound simplicity to life out there — no roads, no light pollution, no phone service.

This snippet comes from my early entry into California’s Sierra Nevada, where the scale of the landscape and the quiet began to recalibrate the senses. You can read more tales from the trail on my Substack
