Borradill

As we travel across Mull, we pass shipwrecks and the remnants of Aros Castle, the echoes of earlier attempts to hold this coast. A land once navigated by Viking settlers, the name is believed to be linked to a Viking figure named Borradill, whose legacy endures in the very land and its names. Borradill’s spirit is also reflected in the design of Borradill House, created by Claire Mookerjee. The home blends Scandinavian and Hebridean elements, using sustainable timber and a colorful, eclectic interior with medieval touches. A tiled hearth subtly nods to Viking heritage, bridging past and present.
